Security Officer Part Time - Weekends

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Loss prevention experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Access control and badge experience.

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Pay

$17.51 / hour

• Saturday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
