Security Officer Part Time Warehouse Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Charlotte, NC, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will use computer or tablet systems to support badge and access control functions while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and credential compliance in accordance with site procedures; report irregularities and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and communication protocols.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- Must have not worked directly for Amazon within the last 6 months for hiring consideration.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.

$18.36 / hour

- Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
