Security Officer Part Time Visitor Check In

About the role

As an Access Control Officer in a retail location, you will help manage entry points, monitor access, and support a welcoming environment for customers, associates, and visitors. You will use computer or tablet tools, communicate professionally, and provide visible presence to help deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and follow procedures for issuing or collecting access credentials.
• Observe receiving, delivery, and employee entry areas for unusual activity and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated store areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$17.50 / hour

• Monday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
