About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving post requires operating in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report access-control irregularities to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when directed.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
