What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Support site operations during weather events, outages, and/or other disruptions by following post orders, assisting with traffic or access control, and maintaining detailed activity logs.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
