As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a university environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide courteous service to students, staff, and visitors. Bring strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork and integrity while helping foster a welcoming campus atmosphere. Schedule

  • Position Type: Part Time
  • DayTime: Monday through Friday, 04:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor directions, and campus event support while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
