Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Vehicle Driver

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer with vehicle patrol duties in Spring Valley, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you through our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license (required for this driving post).
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Pay

$22.12 - $23.12 per hour.

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
