Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Tablet Operations

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and team members while using technology to document activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
