About the Role

Security Officer – Part‑Time Unarmed Patrol Presence in Austin, TX. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as retail/malls, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in accordance with site‑specific reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements required by state or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $19.05 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Monday 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM; Sunday 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM.
