Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with site personnel.
Requirements
- At least six months of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
