Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Hazard Identification

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a premier retail and mall setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to guests, tenants, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards, and report observations according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communication with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: Saturday, 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Night shift: Sunday, 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
