Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Route Assurance

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer on a driving patrol route at a premier retail and mall location in Miami, FL, you will maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, conduct vehicle and foot patrols across common areas, storefronts, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and staff. This position requires a valid driver’s license and involves communicating professionally while supporting a welcoming environment. Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform allows you to build a flexible schedule and pick up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail and mixed-use property, including common areas, storefronts, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel while helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required per Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws (qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Successful completion of a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Any state and/or local licensing requirements must be met prior to employment.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time. Current schedule: Tuesday 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM; Wednesday 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM.
