About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and documenting activity as required.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and daily activity records while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.68 per hour.
