About the role
As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Food/Beverage. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout food and beverage production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site requirements.
- Document patrol findings, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
