As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to guests, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a positive environment through teamwork and integrity. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, guests, staff, artists, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout galleries, performance venues, public areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help maintain an orderly environment during exhibitions, performances, special events, and daily operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security‑related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

$18.00 per hour.

Thursday: 9:15 AM – 5:15 PM
Friday: 5:15 PM – 10:15 PM
