Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Certification

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a commercial real estate location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to tenants, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and first responders while supporting a welcoming environment for the location.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.63 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
