As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. - Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, transit-site policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, station areas, parking areas, and perimeters to identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control, directions, and public-facing support while maintaining professional communication with diverse members of the public.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
