Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and completing required reports and patrol logs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience.
• A guard card or license.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Loss prevention experience.

Pay

$18.74 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 09:15 AM - 05:15 PM
• Sunday: 09:15 AM - 05:15 PM
