Security Officer - Part Time Unarmed Patrol

About the Role

This part-time unarmed patrol position in Champaign, IL, offers a fixed weekly shift with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The role includes a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
