Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Assurance

About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and contribute to a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, transit riders, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at government transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, transit areas, platforms, parking locations, and perimeters to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity and/or maintenance concerns, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.
• Assist with directing visitors and providing information while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
