Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation-related government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor authorization as directed, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, activities, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying emergency services and/or supervisors when required.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related events.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
