Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Incident Prevention Patrol

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school policies, assisting with directions and maintaining awareness of unusual conditions.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to school representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
