Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Entry Verification Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control, and assist visitors, patients, and staff with exceptional customer service.
• Use computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate clearly with the team.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
