Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Credential Control Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Buffalo, NY, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential security concerns.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying visitor and contractor authorization, observing entry and exit activity, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.50 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
