About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Awareness Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit centers, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
