Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Alarm Response

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Alarm Response Security Officer in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service.

At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the property; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

Pay

$16.30 per hour.

Schedule

• Friday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
