Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Montgomery, AL, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas; observe visitor and contractor activity; and maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Assist with directing visitors, providing basic site information, and communicating security-related observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
