Security Officer Part Time TWIC

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in New Orleans, LA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when applicable, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.00 / hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Friday: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
