Security Officer Part Time Site Prevention

About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role supports a dynamic technology location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control, and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, exterior perimeter, access points, and common areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and activity documentation.
- Report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
