Security Officer Part Time Security Rounds

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying permissions, observing visitor activity, and/or communicating with site contacts regarding access-related issues.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and/or helping staff and visitors during routine operations, high-traffic periods, and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
