Security Officer Part Time Security Clearance required

In this part‑time, unarmed patrol position at an aerospace and defense location in Arlington, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access‑control activities, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, office areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Support protection of sensitive business operations and restricted areas by following established access‑control, reporting, and incident‑escalation procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Guard card or license preferred.
• State, county, or city‑issued security‑related license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$26.27 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Friday 2:45 PM to 10:45 PM; Saturday 2:45 PM to 10:45 PM
