Security Officer Part Time - Clearance Required

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Complete required reports, maintain communication with the Allied Universal team and site contacts, and follow applicable confidentiality requirements for sensitive business areas.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
