As a Security Officer Part Time Screening in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cruise Ops, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy cruise operations location.
- Screen passengers, visitors, crew members, and/or personal items in accordance with post procedures and access protocols.
- Monitor entry points and help to identify unauthorized items, restricted articles, and/or unusual activity, reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting crowd management and orderly access flow.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations as needed, noting conditions that may require security-related attention.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
