Security Officer Part Time Screener

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Screener in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, and Telecom. You will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and belongings, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence and clear communication will deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established access-control procedures and site requirements.
• Verify credentials and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and screening-related records using site-approved processes and technology.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.51 per hour.
