Security Officer Part Time Roving Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Perimeter Patrol Driver (Security Officer) in Research Triangle Park, NC. The role involves unarmed patrols of a commercial‑real‑estate site, providing visible security, customer service, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property‑management personnel while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random vehicle and foot patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entry points, common areas, and property perimeters, reporting unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor, tenant, and vendor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, communicating observations to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Compliance with any state or local licensing requirements.

Pay

$19.57 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Sunday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
