Security Officer Part Time - Recycling Facility

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will support a welcoming environment through attentive observation, timely reporting, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and communicate security-related observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
- Sunday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
