Security Officer Part Time Reception

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a retail and mall location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting a secure environment for visitors, tenants, and employees. You will manage access, greet and assist guests, monitor activity, and communicate security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor building access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and escalation procedures.
• Assist with receiving calls, coordinating visitor access, and providing general information while maintaining a professional presence at the retail location.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
