Security Officer Part Time Personnel Screening

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer specializing in Personnel Screening in Vance, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as automotive. This role involves screening personnel and visitors, verifying access credentials, and monitoring entry points to support a secure and welcoming environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet systems to document security-related activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-screening requirements at an automotive location.
• Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and deliveries entering designated areas in accordance with site policies, using approved procedures and equipment.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and delivery records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.

Requirements

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$17.50 / hour

• Sunday: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
