As a Security Officer Part Time Perimeter Patrol Driver in Reynoldsburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as retail/malls. This part‑time role lets you build a schedule that works for you and explore new shifts via the Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security‑related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. The position requires a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy and calls for strong communication skills and integrity in a caring, team‑focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and escalating matters as appropriate.
• Help maintain an orderly retail environment by observing access points, reporting suspicious activity, and supporting loss‑prevention and asset‑protection efforts in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
