Security Officer Part Time Perimeter Patrol

About the role
As a Part-Time Perimeter Patrol Security Officer in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Hotels & Resorts. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hotel personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
