About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol with Active Clearance in Rolling Meadows, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as aerospace and defense. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with personnel and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, following visitor-management procedures, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
