About the role
As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Unit in New Gretna, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures and posted instructions.
- Support site operations by communicating with staff regarding security-related concerns, following assigned post orders, and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations observed during patrols.
Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
