What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, observe for suspicious behavior, and/or report theft-related concerns, policy violations, or other security-related matters according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing activities, and/or documentation of incidents, patrols, and observations in support of daily location operations.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
