As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driving Role, you will receive reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you. The role includes a fixed‑shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) – a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six‑month commitment. Through the Claim‑A‑Shift program you can claim extra shifts via the scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, working part‑time one week and full‑time the next, with the ability to scale up to 40 hours per week or back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and other security-related duties in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
