About the role
As a Part-Time Patrol Deterrence Security Officer in Covington Township, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to members, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, member concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail warehouse, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
- Monitor access points, deliveries, and restricted areas in accordance with site policies, assisting with traffic flow and member entry or exit as assigned.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
