Security Officer Part Time Patrol Credentialing

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, helping to maintain a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating matters as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help support authorized entry to the property.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$23.36 / hour

• Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
