As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Coverage in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout offices, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support badge control, package handling, and/or lobby procedures in accordance with location guidelines.
• Communicate with site contacts, staff, and/or first responders regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters that may affect daily operations.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Security experience is preferred.
• Customer service skills are preferred.
