As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential care setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a residential care location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, resident or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Law Enforcement Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in law enforcement, including roles that demonstrate the ability to handle security-related situations effectively and professionally.
• Security Supervisor/Manager Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the security industry, with a proven track record of leading teams, managing security operations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• General Security Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the security field, encompassing various aspects of security operations including access control, surveillance, and emergency response.

Additional minimum requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
