About the role

As an Armed Security Officer Part Time Patrol Compliance in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
