Security Officer Part Time Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, staff, and vendor movement, verifying authorization when required, and reporting issues through established protocols.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with de-escalation, directing individuals to appropriate resources or staff, and communicating clearly with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

• Attention to detail and ability to document information accurately.
